IV. The Herbert

Description:Herbert is, believe it or not, a spider. Wearing a red cape and a giant 'H' sticker, he valiantly saves people, science fairs, and the world several times throughout the stories. Accompanied by his faithful sidekick, J, Herbert has foiled the plots of many villians, from Dick Clark to the wicked Mr. H. Raisin. Herbert has his own series of adventures in the comics, called (and don't ask me where I got this name) The Adventures of Herbert.

The Real Herbert: The real Herbert was a huge spider who sat all day on a web in the bushes outside the high school's gymnasium exit. Tragically, he was killed by a villianous band member on the way to marching band practice. (As an orchestra member, I consider that yet another addition to the long list of the band's sins.)
